The SRA has already successfully piloted this AI surveillance technology in Malwani, and following its success, the authority plans to deploy it citywide. A dedicated special cell will be set up to monitor the entire process and take immediate action against new slums that are detected.
Every six months, the SRA will capture photographs and videos of existing slums, analysing the data to identify any new unauthorised settlements. Upon detection, swift action will be taken to remove these new slums.
The AI-driven surveillance system enables regular, systematic surveys for new encroachments, enhancing the ability of authorities to enforce slum control efficiently and transparently.
