NEC Launches App & Podcast Series to Boost Contract Engagement

NEC, a leading provider of procurement contracts in the construction industry, has launched two new initiatives to enhance understanding and engagement with NEC contracts: the NEC Contracts Community App and the NEC Spotlight Podcasts. The Institution of Civil Engineers developed the app, while the podcast series features interviews with key industry figures.

The NEC Contracts Community App, accessible via desktop at https://community.neccontract.com/, serves as a platform for users worldwide to connect and discuss NEC themes and topics. It includes online discussion forums and resource hubs, making it a comprehensive tool for NEC contract users. The app is free to download on mobile devices from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The NEC Spotlight Podcasts, introduced by NEC, explore the world of NEC contracts through interviews with senior project team members and NEC practitioners. The first episode featured Mark Thurston and Keith Lomas from HS2, discussing the use of NEC contracts on the £73 billion railway project. While the app's developer is known, the search results did not reveal who created the podcast series.

NEC Users' Group members gain exclusive access to additional content within the NEC Contracts Community App. Both the app and the podcast series aim to foster a connected community of users worldwide, enhancing understanding and engagement with NEC contracts.
