New Holland Unveils T7 Methan Power Tractor: A Sustainable Diesel Alternative
New Holland, a division of CNH Industrial, has unveiled the T7 Methan Power tractor. This innovative machine runs on biomethane, a renewable fuel, offering significant savings and reduced emissions.
The T7 Methan Power boasts impressive performance, matching diesel engines with 271 HP and 1,160 Nm of torque. Its six-cylinder FPT Nef engine is designed specifically for biomethane, using spark-ignition technology. The tractor holds around 120 kg of biomethane, enabling up to 10 hours of work.
Refueling is quick and convenient, taking only 3 minutes, and overnight slow-fill refueling is also possible. The T7 Methan Power operates quietly and efficiently, with reduced engine noise and optimal RPM and fuel consumption ensured by the AutoCommand transmission. Due to its nearly emission-free combustion, the tractor uses a simple three-way catalytic converter, reducing maintenance costs and increasing reliability.
Field tests at biogas plants have proven the tractor's effectiveness. Operators can save up to 10,000 euros per year compared to diesel, and even over 24,000 euros with self-generated biomethane.
The New Holland T7 Methan Power tractor offers a sustainable alternative to diesel, combining full performance with significant cost savings and reduced emissions. Its successful practical use at biogas plants demonstrates its reliability and efficiency.
