New Shooting Drill Boosts Proficiency and Speed

A new shooting drill, designed to enhance proficiency and speed, has been introduced. This innovative routine, developed by unnamed experts, uses two targets and three shop configurations at varying distances. It aims to build an instinctive judgment of when to use sights, improving overall shooting skills.

The drill begins with a warm-up phase. Shooters draw and fire without sights, then fire again without a sight picture, repeating this process four times. Each pair must be completed under two seconds, with hits in the 'C' zone or better. Following this, the 'Slow Change' phase involves firing two rounds without sights, then firing again with just the front sight. This is repeated ten times, with each drill taking no more than 2.25 seconds and center-mass hits in at least the 'C' zone.

The 'Hard Change' phase follows, where shooters fire two rounds without sights, then fire again with both sights aligned. This is also repeated ten times, with each drill taking no more than 2.75 seconds and center-mass hits in at least the 'C' zone. The full-sized target is placed at 5 yards, and the 50% target at 20 yards to the left of it, forcing the use of different sight shop based on target distance and size.

This comprehensive training routine, developed by unknown experts, pushes shooters to adapt their sight usage based on target distance and size. By constantly changing sight configurations, it helps build an instinctive judgment, improving shooting proficiency and speed. Despite the lack of explicit developer identification, the 'Drills' shooting training app serves as a smart platform to manage and enhance these systematic training sessions.
