Nike planning to launch new Air Foamposite model in carbon fiber material

In the world of sneaker culture, the upcoming release of the "Carbon Fiber" Nike Air Foamposite is generating a significant buzz. The shoe, which will retail for $240, is set to drop on October 10, 2025.

Nike chose Penny Hardaway as the athlete for the Nike Air Foamposite at a pivotal time, given the hype surrounding him. Originally intended to be the signature model of Scottie Pippen, the Nike Air Foamposite has since gained significant cultural recognition after its original release in 1997, created by Eric Avar.

The "Carbon Fiber" Nike Air Foamposite will be available in full-sizing and will feature an industrial look, with a key feature being the carbon fiber patterning throughout its upper. The suede eyelets, mesh tongue, sockliner, and heel pull tab are all monochromatic, contributing to the shoe's sleek design.

The release date for this highly anticipated shoe is not the only exciting news. Supplies for the "Carbon Fiber" Nike Air Foamposite are expected to be limited, making it a must-have for sneakerheads. It is recommended to secure your pair while supplies last.

The shoe will be available in a black, dark smoke grey, and icy blue translucent colorway. Nike is capitalising on the versatility and endless possibility for colorway variations in the Nike Air Foamposite.

The Nike Air Foamposite continues to have updated and consistent releases throughout the years, and the "Carbon Fiber" version is the latest addition to this line. The shoe will be available for purchase on the Nike SNKRS app.

Interestingly, the Orlando Magic's Penny Hardaway was the athlete who later used the Nike Air Foamposite. Meanwhile, LeBron James was the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, selected before the "Carbon Fiber" Nike Air Foamposite appeared.

As the release date approaches, the anticipation for the "Carbon Fiber" Nike Air Foamposite continues to grow. With its industrial design, limited supplies, and iconic history, this shoe is sure to be a hit among sneaker enthusiasts. Stay tuned for more updates on new drops throughout 2026.
