Unleash the Fury of the Arbites in Warhammer 40K: Darktide

The time has come to purge the heretics! The Arbites, a new class in the co-op horde shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.

The Arbites class is a powerful enforcer, tasked with bringing order to the chaotic universe of Warhammer 40K. Armed with shotguns, riot shields, and a fearsome Cyber-Mastiff, these justice-seekers are ready to crush any who defy the Mandatory of Man.

The Standard Edition of the Arbites DLC retails for $11.99, while the Deluxe version goes for $18.99. If you're already a Standard edition owner, you can upgrade to the Deluxe version for $7.99. Additionally, a free update for the game has been released, featuring a reworked narrative experience, a new difficulty level for Mortis Trials, and more.

To celebrate this exciting release, Fatshark, the developers of Warhammer: Vermintide, unveiled a captivating trailer showcasing the deadly tactics of the Arbites class. For those eager to learn more about the Arbites' abilities, Fatshark shared a detailed breakdown of the class.

The Arbites Class Breakdown:

  • Cyber-Mastiff: The loyal companion of the Arbites will accompany you in eliminating lawbreakers. Customize its appearance and passive target selection to aid you in battle. You can also command it to single out specific targets.
  • Talent Tree: With a myriad of options at your disposal, choose how you wish to play as an Arbitrator. Themes range from Elite killing, Cyber-Mastiff handling, Hybrid Combat, Supportive Utility, Crowd Control, and Melee.
  • Blitz Abilities: Your base Blitz ability is an Impact Grenade that causes high damage and stagger to enemies. Other abilities include the Voltaic Shock Mine, which electrocutes enemies upon activation, and Remote Detonation, which deals damage, electrocutes, and staggers nearby enemies around your Cyber-Mastiff's position.
  • Combat Abilities: Your combat abilities include the Nuncio-Aquila, which enables regeneration of toughness for allies, increased damage taken for enemies in the area, and even more powerful defense for yourself. Castigator's Stance provides speed boosts, damage reduction, and resistance to stun effects for ten seconds. Break the Line allows you to bash enemies, causing high stagger and increased damage for a short duration.

A Timeless Tradition: The Arbites' occasional reliance on their Cyber-Mastiff allows players who prefer a more solo-oriented playstyle to elect the Lone Wolf Talent. This skill grants bonuses to toughness, attack speed, damage, and additional charges for Blitz abilities while departing the faithful canine companion.

Fatshark will provide more information regarding the Aura and Keystone nodes for the Arbites class in the DLC's patch notes.

The Battle for Tertium: Alongside the release of the Arbites DLC, a free update called "The Battle for Tertium" was introduced. This update brings various improvements to the story, mission system, mortis trials, and additional in-game events, making this an excellent time to jump into one of Xbox Game Pass's hidden gems (which we gave a favorable 3/5 star review to).

Take up arms alongside your brethren and brave the treacherous city of Tertium in this bloody battle against the heretics and horrors awaiting within Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
