Nvidia has formed groundbreaking collaborations with the UK government and financial regulators to amplify the use of AI tools.

In this extensive partnership, the tech giant collaborates with the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to integrate AI within workflows. This partnership also inclusion the launch of the 'U.K. Sovereign AI Industry Forum', intended to expedite the country’s AI ecosystem.

Nvidia aims to position the UK as an "AI maker, not an AI taker". This ambitious goal was announced by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang at London Tech Week 2025, where he appeared alongside UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and Minister for Investment Poppy Gustafsson on stage.

Both starmer and Huang advocated for the UK to "lean in" to AI, emphasizing its potential to boost national security, cybersecurity protection, and economic growth.

AI & UK, a Powerful Alliance

A new UK Nvidia AI Technology Center will focus on hands-on training in AI, data science, and accelerated computing, targeting foundation model builders, embodied AI, materials science, and earth systems modeling.

In collaboration with the FCA, a new AI-powered digital sandbox will be launched, providing financial services firms with a digital testing environment. This offers a unique opportunity for experimentation with new AI initiatives and services.

The company is also working with DSIT to grant UK universities access to AI tools, 6G research platforms, and training resources to support AI-native wireless networks research and development.

"With big plans for the future of AI innovation in the UK, we're not only seeking to deliver economic growth—we're aiming to maintain our position as a global leader," said Peter Kyle, the UK Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology.

"Key to this is investing in the infrastructure necessary to power AI, so I welcome NVIDIA setting up the U.K. Sovereign AI Industry Forum, a platform that unites top UK businesses to deploy AI across the country, fostering growth and opportunity."
