Are you ready to dive into the latest gaming technologies and regulatory updates? Look no further than the Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Roundtable - an annual gathering that has remained fresh and engaging for a staggering 25 years! This year's event is set to take place from April 16-17 at the lively Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The GLI Roundtable attracts influential regulators, operators, and stakeholders from every corner of the gaming world. The agenda for this thrilling event features keynote speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, revolving around essential topics like sports betting, iGaming, cybersecurity, and combating illicit gambling.

One of the highly anticipated features of this year's event is the "Innovation Tech Hub," showcasing cutting-edge technologies from leading companies such as Bulletproof, IXUP, Kobetron, Marbles.io, and PokerLab. The hub offers a one-of-a-kind educational experience, allowing attendees to explore the latest advancements in gaming technology.

Stepping back in time, the first GLI Roundtable took place in a Denver, Colorado conference room with a humble 30 regulators in attendance. Fast forward to today, and the event is expected to draw over 300 gaming enthusiasts from around the globe.

Christie Eickelman, GLI's Vice President of Global Marketing, has been part of the Roundtable journey since its inception. She explains, "Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of new technology and concepts developed for the industry by suppliers and manufacturers, and present them from a technical point of view, taking into account each jurisdiction's unique rules, regulations, technical standards, and internal controls."

Throughout the year, GLI surveys regulators to identify their primary concerns, tailoring the event's agenda to address their most pressing issues. Every year, about half the room is filled with new attendees.

"It's a peer-to-peer event where regulators can attend a conference where there's no sales pitch," Eickelman says. "It's based on what they are facing every day. We'll look back at some of the technology that we spoke about at previous events, and then we'll forward think on where it has evolved and where it's going."

One unique aspect setting GLI's Roundtable apart from other gaming conferences is its integration of non-industry-specific elements to create a more entertaining experience. For instance, throughout the years, the event has featured captivating keynote speakers like the renowned motivational speaker and team building expert, Mark Eaton (2015), Nate Silver, the author and founder of FiveThirtyEight.com (2022), and the former VP of Analytics and Data Science for Twitter, Jeffrey Ma (2024).

This year, the esteemed keynote speaker is Molly Bloom, the author of the book "Molly’s Game" and the notorious "Poker Princess" who organized high-stakes underground poker games in L.A. that drew A-list celebrities. The book was later adapted into a major motion picture starring Jessica Chastain.

Attractions include a 5K "Regulators Fun Run" on April 16, networking opportunities, and an Innovation Tech Hub both days, where regulators can explore the newest tech. James Maida, GLI's President and CEO, and Mackenzie Haugh, GLI's Chief Delivery Officer, will lead a panel discussion this year on the "Top 10 Trends in Tech."

In a nutshell, the GLI Roundtable offers regulators an unparalleled opportunity to connect with industry peers, share insights, and find solutions to the challenges they face daily. Christie Eickelman sums it up perfectly: "It's fun to see people coming back, forming those deep and meaningful relationships. I've watched regulators attend all of them, who have retired. The way regulators have stood behind the event has been important to me. That has been fun to see." 🎉🎲🌟
