Polestar 3 MY26 Arrives With Extensive Upgrades, 671bhp Power

Polestar, a brand with Volvo and Geely roots, has unveiled extensive upgrades for its electric SUV, the Polestar 3. The MY26 model is set to arrive first in the UK, where demand is high and the current MY25 has sold out. Pricing is expected to rise from the current £69,990.

The new Polestar 3 boasts a host of improvements. The front motor can now disconnect automatically when not needed, enhancing efficiency and range. A new permanent magnet synchronous rear motor delivers a powerful 671bhp in the Performance guise. The car's 'brain' is now powered by an Nvidia Drive AGX Orin processor, offering 254 TOPS of processing power. The 800V electrical architecture, double that of the current model, reduces heat generation during charging, enabling faster charging speeds. With this new 800V system, the maximum rapid charging speed has increased to 350kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in just 22 minutes.

CEO Michael Lohscheller describes the upgrades as so extensive that it's like an entirely new car.
