Polestar Unveils Revolutionary Digital Rearview Mirror for Polestar 4
Polestar has unveiled a revolutionary digital rearview mirror for its upcoming Polestar 4 model. This innovation aims to boost safety and comfort, not merely for the sake of novelty.
The digital rearview mirror features a 2.5-megapixel camera with a 121° field of view, transmitting real-time images onto an 8.9-inch HD screen. This setup enhances driver visibility, particularly in low light or rain, offering a clearer view of the vehicle's surroundings.
The system can switch between the HD digital screen and a traditional rearview mirror, providing drivers with the best of both worlds. This shift marks a significant departure from the century-old design of traditional rearview mirrors, which have remained largely unchanged until now.
Polestar's digital rearview mirror promises to improve driver visibility and safety. By eliminating the rear window, it creates more space for passengers, transforming the car's interior into a blend of business class and high-end lounge comfort.
