Porsche Unveils Panamera S Hybrid in Geneva
Porsche is set to unveil the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid at the Geneva Motor Show. This new model aims to reduce the company's average corporate CO2 emissions and dodge taxation penalties.
The Panamera S Hybrid will make its debut with CO2 emissions of 159g/km, outdoing even the 3.0-litre diesel engines in the Jaguar XJ and BMW 7 Series. It's priced at £86,146, comparable to the V8 version, and comes packed with air suspension and larger wheels.
Under the hood, the Panamera S Hybrid uses the same hybrid system as the Cayenne Hybrid. It combines a 330bhp 3.0-litre V6 engine with a 44bhp electric motor. Despite its eco-friendly credentials, it's no slouch, accelerating from 0-60mph in just 6.0 seconds, only 0.5 seconds behind the 4.8-litre V8 S.
The Porsche Panamera S Hybrid will hit the market in June, offering a greener option without compromising on performance. Porsche AG, the German automaker behind this innovation, hopes it will help reduce their average corporate CO2 emissions.
