Primorye Residents Shun Intermediaries, Prefer Lower-Mileage Cars
A recent survey in Russia's Primorye region reveals a shift in car-buying preferences among residents. The findings show a growing tendency to avoid intermediaries and a preference for cars with lower mileage.
In 2012, 45% of Primorye residents preferred not to buy used cars from intermediaries. This figure has increased to around 47% in recent times, indicating a consistent preference among residents to deal directly with car owners. Almost half of Primorye residents now consciously avoid 'intermediaries' in the secondary car market, with 17% specifically preferring to choose a car directly from the owner if possible.
Across the Far East region, 15% of residents show a preference for cars with zero mileage. In Primorye, 30% of survey participants look for ads exclusively from owners, suggesting a strong demand for direct transactions.
The survey highlights a clear trend among Primorye residents towards avoiding intermediaries and favoring cars with lower mileage. This preference is not isolated to Primorye, with 9% of central region residents and 8% of North-West residents also expressing a reluctance to buy cars with mileage. These findings offer valuable insights for the automotive market in Russia.
