Münden, and Göttingen within the next year, while six 5G upgrades are currently planned in Göttingen, Harz, and Rosdorf. In addition, Vodafone plans to upgrade 61 stations without 5G to 5G sites in the next expansion phase.

Vodafone's new station in Staufenberg, for instance, not only supports the latest variants of the emergency call technology AML but also the disaster warning system Cell Broadcast. This means that in case of danger situations such as large fires, gas explosions, or floods, the surrounding population can be warned via their smartphones. The station in Staufenberg, which is equipped with the 5G technology, has recently been launched and has connected 3,000 residents and guests to Vodafone's mobile data highway for the first time.
