Qualys Launches Enhanced Vulnerability Detection Pipeline
Qualys has announced the general availability of its Vulnerability Detection Pipeline. This new tool offers enhanced features for identifying and managing network vulnerabilities.
The pipeline now supports a URL parameter to specify a particular Common Vulnerability and Exposure (CVE) number. Non-customers can audit their networks for published vulnerabilities through a Qualys Free Trial or Community Edition.
The pipeline introduces three detection statuses: 'under investigation', 'in development', and 'recently published'. It provides visibility into upcoming and recently published vulnerability signatures (QIDs).
Qualys customers can access published detections in the Qualys KnowledgeBase. The pipeline now includes detections of all severities, from critical (5) to low (1).
If a search yields no results, the pipeline now guides users to instructions for requesting a new QID. It also displays the development status of vulnerability signatures for recent high-priority vulnerabilities.
The Vulnerability Detection Pipeline is now generally available, offering improved detection and management of network vulnerabilities. It provides extensive search and filter capabilities, visibility into upcoming and recent QIDs, and access to published detections for Qualys customers. The pipeline's enhanced features aim to strengthen security posture and streamline vulnerability management.
