Rapid Expansion of MFF & Co, Now a Prominent Global Enterprises Led by Professionals from Emerging Economies

MFF & Co Announces Next Project Soon

In the world of impact entertainment, MFF & Co is making waves. The Los Angeles-based company, with a focus on building a vibrant ecosystem for ideas, culture, and artistic vision, has expanded rapidly in the past year and a half.

At the helm of MFF & Co's Global Television division is Miura Kite, former EVP of Global Television at Participant Media. Kite, who also led Maria Farinha Filmes, a Brazil-based company that opened offices in L.A. last year, brings a wealth of experience to the table.

MFF & Co operates by bringing new perspectives to connect and move culture forward. This approach has led to a series of exciting projects. One such project is "The Girl Who Could Fly," a film co-developed with Ashé Ventures, co-founded by Viola Davis, and based on the life of Daiane dos Santos, the first Brazilian and first Black woman to win gold at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Another project, "Pegasus," delves into the realm of cyber security, human rights, and a lack of regulation. The narrative drive of this project, set to distinguish Cohen, Leshem, and producer Maria Feldman, promises a thought-provoking exploration of these issues.

MFF & Co's partnership with Globo extends beyond just projects. They are collaborating to develop English-language North American adaptations of Globo's smash hit telenovelas.

The company's work is guided by a methodology of collective intelligence, which facilitates the participation of more perspectives in decision-making. This approach has proven successful, as evidenced by the critical acclaim and widespread distribution of MFF & Co's projects.

For instance, "The Beginning of Life," written and directed by Estela Renner, was the most-watched documentary of the year in Brazil and distributed by Netflix in over 100 countries. The film debunks the myth that babies are irrational, egocentric, amoral, and without understanding of cause and effect.

Another documentary by Renner, "Brazil Before 1500," reveals that the Amazon is half man-made, with expansive roads, dams, canals, highly fertile soils, fish and turtles farms created by its indigenous population.

MFF & Co has also taken a stake in London's Violet Films, a four-time Academy Award-nominated production company.

As MFF & Co continues to grow and collaborate with like-minded talent, artists, and executives who share its mission, anticipation for their next project is high. Stay tuned for more announcements from this innovative impact entertainment company.
