Refined ArmoníaPlus Now Streamlines 3D Sound for Cinema Audience Experience

In a significant move for the cinema industry, Powersoft has added support for Dolby Atmos Connect AES67 in its ArmoníaPlus software. This update brings several benefits, making it easier and more efficient to configure Dolby Atmos systems in cinema environments.

The new functionality provides a quicker, easier, and more reliable way to manage AES67 audio streams and channels, thanks to network management automation. ArmoníaPlus now automatically manages these streams and channels after receiving network information from Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP950A or Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000.

Direct patching support is another key feature, allowing Powersoft amplifiers to be directly patched to the Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP950A and Dolby Integrated Media Server IMS3000 source. This eliminates the need for additional external devices or software, streamlining the entire process.

The AES67 connection between Powersoft amplifiers and Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor CP950A ensures efficient and hassle-free integration. This is evident in the recent collaboration between Powersoft and Dolby on a Dolby Atmos installation at Cineplexx Westfield SCS, a luxury multiplex cinema in Vienna. Here, Powersoft amplifiers drive Dolby System 133 loudspeakers, delivering an immersive, three-dimensional audio experience.

Francesco Cionini, global key account manager for Powersoft, commented on the company's increased presence in the cinema market. He stated that being compliant with Dolby Atmos is important for Powersoft's growth in this sector. Cionini also noted that the update is part of ArmoníaPlus 2.7.1, but no information about the cost or availability of this update has been provided.

The update does not mention any specific changes or improvements to the immersive, three-dimensional audio experience. However, the support from Dolby enables Powersoft amplifiers, combined with Dolby Atmos cinema processors, to deliver an immersive, three-dimensional audio experience.

The new feature simplifies the patching process between Powersoft's Unica and Canali-series amplifiers and the Dolby Atmos processor. This simplification, along with the other benefits, enhances flexibility and scalability, improves synchronization and reliability, and future-proofs cinema audio systems for the growing use of immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos.

The update to ArmoníaPlus software introduces technology that simplifies the patching process between Powersoft amplifiers and Dolby Atmos Cinema Processor, thereby enhancing the flexibility and scalability of data-and-cloud-computing in cinema environments. This move follows the recent collaboration between Powersoft and Dolby, using Powersoft amplifiers to deliver immersive, three-dimensional audio experiences as part of a Dolby Atmos system.
