Return of IP Display at 2025 NAB Broadcast Event
The IP Showcase, a key event in the broadcast and Pro AV industries, is set to return to the 2025 NAB Show, taking place from April 6-9 in Las Vegas. The event will be hosted in the West Hall, where industry leaders, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), and the Video Services Forum (VSF), will collaborate to address the increasing convergence of broadcast and Pro AV technologies.
At the heart of the collaboration stands the IPMX open-interoperability framework for AV-over-IP, which aims to bridge the technological gap between these sectors. Andrew Starks, a member of AIMS' board of directors and director of product management for Macnica, expressed his excitement about the 2025 NAB Show, stating, "This year's show represents a significant moment in the merging of broadcast and Pro AV, and the IP Showcase will be crucial in educating attendees on how IPMX is facilitating this convergence."
IPMX is designed to provide a unified approach to professional media transport and interoperability, encouraging seamless AV-over-IP workflows. It aligns with established standards such as AES67 and SMPTE 2110, ensuring compatibility and leveraging proven technologies for audio and media transport, respectively.
Key features of the IP Showcase at the 2025 NAB Show will include the IP Showcase Theater, where industry experts will provide presentations on a range of topics. This year's event will feature 16 presentations, covering topics like the roadmap for IPMX, hands-on demonstrations, case studies, and more. The Tech Chat Stage, located in the West Hall, will host many of these presentations.
Furthermore, attendees can visit booth W2843 to witness live demonstrations of IPMX-ready products and AV-over-IP technology integration, showcasing their interoperability and real-world applications. Meeting room W317 will also be available for trainings, standards-related meetings, additional demonstrations, and more.
The IP Showcase promises to be an invaluable resource for professionals in both broadcast and Pro AV sectors, providing a platform for education, collaboration, and innovation. With the growing focus on Pro AV at the NAB Show, attendees can look forward to an event that showcases the latest advancements in IP-based workflows and the transformative power of the IPMX framework.
