Revamping Sensory Immersion at San Francisco Nightclub via d&b audiotechnik Innovation
🎶 The Sound evolution of 1015 Folsom 🎶
More than three decades later, the legendary 1015 Folsom nightclub in San Francisco hasSERVERVER revamped its creaky sound system. With a nudge from long-time audio provider, Michael Lacina of JK Sound, and fellow integrator, Don Lynch of Commercial Audio Video Solutions (CAVS), this music haven stadium-like transformation was well underway. The Paul McCartney of sound systems, you ask? Why, none other than d&b audiotechnik, with a smashing lineup that includes A-Series ALi60 augmented arrays and V-Series Vi-GSUB subwoofers.
🔩 A blast from the past 🔩
Remember the Art Institute of San Francisco party in '83? That's where the 1015 Folsom tale begins. Ira Sandler, the club's owner, was captivated by Michael Lacina's sound system, so much so that the dance parties kept growing, thereby growing their sound reinforcement capabilities hand in hand. In 1989, Ira snagged Das Klub and renamed it 1015 Folsom, and you guessed it, Michael was there to revamp the sound system yet again. This collaboration has been a staple for the club ever since!
💡 A modern day makeover 💡
The aim of the game? Offer clubgoers an energetic, contemporary audio experience powered by sleek, efficient loudspeakers and amplification system compatible with touring artists' requirements. The surrounding residential area development meant a new system needed to keep noise levels in check. Enter, the logical choice – a d&b A-Series system equipped with single-channel cardioid V-Series subwoofers. The result? The desired SPLs met, coverage goals achieved, and neighborhood peace maintained...all while keeping costs in check.
In the past, Michael Lacina's sound system captivated the owner of 1015 Folsom during the Art Institute of San Francisco party in '83, leading to the growth of both the dance parties and the sound reinforcement capabilities. Now, in a modern day makeover, a d&b A-Series system, complete with single-channel cardioid V-Series subwoofers, is being installed to provide clubgoers with an energetic, contemporary audio experience, while keeping noise levels in check for the surrounding residential area. This integration of technology and gadgets, including the features of d&b audiotechnik's A-Series and V-Series, promises to enhance the events at the revamped 1015 Folsom.
