Russian drone manufacturers' entire network alleged to have been damaged by Ukrainian cyber attacks

In a series of coordinated cyberattacks, Ukrainian hacking collectives, including the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance and BO Team (also known as Black Owl), have reportedly targeted Russia's Gaskar Integration, one of the largest suppliers of drones for Russia's army.

According to reports, the military intelligence agency worked alongside these hackers to capture the entire network and server infrastructure of Gaskar Integration. This operation resulted in the capture of 47TB of technical information about the production of Russian drones, as well as the shutdown of the network so thoroughly that the doors were blocked, requiring the administration to turn on the fire alarm to open them.

The hackers also claim to have destroyed massive amounts of technical data related to drone production at Gaskar Integration and stolen all the source code from the company. Additionally, BO Team claims to have carried out the operation alongside the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance and one unnamed "very well-known organization." Although the identity of this organization remains undisclosed, a link to Ukraine's Ministry of Defence was included in the announcement by BO Team, suggesting potential involvement of Ukraine's military intelligence.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance posted what they claim to be confidential employee questionnaires on their Telegram channel. Furthermore, Operation Eastwood, a joint effort by various cybersecurity groups, has reportedly shut down over 100 servers used for DDoS attacks on websites supporting both Ukraine and Russia.

It's important to note that neither Gaskar nor the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence responded to inquiries from the website regarding these allegations.

In another development, a new strain of pro-Russian wiper malware has affected Ukrainian critical infrastructure. The impact and extent of this cyberattack are still being assessed.

China, on the other hand, is reported to be providing assistance in the production and training of specialists at Gaskar Group. However, the role of China in these recent cyberattacks remains unclear.

As the situation unfolds, it's clear that the cyber war between Ukraine and Russia continues to intensify, with both sides leveraging their digital capabilities to gain an edge in the ongoing conflict.
