Samsung initiates rollout of One UI 8 and Android 16 updates for Galaxy S25 smartphones
Samsung has announced plans to roll out its latest software update, One UI 8, to a wide range of its devices in the coming weeks. This update will bring Android 16 to Samsung's flagship phones, including the S25 series, as well as tablets and watches by the end of the year.
The rollout is set to accelerate, with Samsung aiming to make the update available to a variety of devices, from the Galaxy S25 series to older models like the S21 FE and S22 series. The update will also be extended to the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series, from the 4th generation onwards, and the Galaxy A series, including the A56, A36, A26, A17, A16, A15, A06, A54, A34, A73, A53, and A33.
In addition to the Android 16 upgrade, the One UI 8 update will bring new features to these devices. These enhancements are expected to reduce the need for users to upgrade to newer models, offering a more cost-effective solution for Samsung users.
Rumours suggest that future iterations of One UI may incorporate more AI advancements, further enhancing the user experience. There have also been whispers of an earlier release of One UI 8.5, but Samsung has yet to confirm these reports.
For users eager to check if the update is available for their device, Samsung advises visiting the software update page on their Galaxy phone. Here, they can find the latest software changes and check the status of the One UI 8 update.
