In the heart of Russia, scientists at Nizhny Novgorod have developed a groundbreaking software solution called "SMART-Resource" for managing large databases. This software, registered in the Russian Software Registry, is designed to address one of the tasks for the mandatory transition to Russian database management systems by January 1, 2026.

The "SMART-Resource" software boasts impressive capabilities, capable of performing up to 5 million operations within four hours with basic settings. It is compatible with the Russian operating system Astra Linux, making it an ideal choice for Russian industries.

The software has already found a home at the Institute of Mechanics, where it is used for resource allocation tasks. In addition to mechanical engineering, it can be applied in the instrument, shipbuilding, and aircraft industries, sectors that are currently undergoing a shift towards domestic database management systems.

While direct information about "SMART-Resource" in the context of large-scale database management or its use in Russian industries is scarce, it is essential to understand the broader Russian industrial context. There is a growing emphasis on developing domestic database management systems and enterprise software to replace foreign imports, particularly for critical infrastructure sectors and large industrial enterprises.
