SKAI: Kazakhstan's First AI Board Member Unveiled
SKAI, the first independent digital board member with voting rights in the region, has been introduced. Samruk-Kazyna Foundation presented this AI to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Digital Bridge forum in Astana. SKAI aims to enhance corporate governance transparency and efficiency.
SKAI's development is a significant step towards collaborative decision-making between humans and technology, according to Nurlan Zhakupov, chairman of the management board. The AI network operates on the supercomputer Al Farabium in a closed loop, ensuring data protection. It is based on the Kazakh language model Alem LLM.
SKAI's creation involved analyzing regulatory documents, board decisions from 2008, and other internal materials. Despite extensive research, no clear information about the developers of SKAI could be found.
SKAI's introduction marks a milestone in digital governance. It operates on a secure supercomputer and is designed to increase transparency and efficiency. Although its developers remain unknown, SKAI's impact on corporate decision-making is set to be significant.
