Soaring Incomes and Profits on Rush Street
In the second quarter of 2025, Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a prominent igaming provider based in the United States, reported a remarkable turnaround in its financial performance. The company posted a revenue of $269.2 million, marking a 22% year-on-year increase, and achieved a net profit of $28.8 million—a significant improvement from a loss in the same quarter a year earlier.
The company's adjusted EBITDA also saw a substantial jump, rising 88% to $40.2 million. Total monthly active users (MAUs) were 197,000 in North America (U.S. and Canada), up 21% year-over-year, and 403,000 in Latin America, up 42%.
The growth in user base was reflected in the average revenue per monthly active user (ARPMUA), which reached a record high of $391 in the U.S. and Canada. In Latin America, while the average revenue per user (ARPU) decreased by US$8 due to absorbing the cost of a value-added tax in Colombia, the region still averaged US$30 per user.
Regarding cash flow, specific figures were not disclosed. However, RSI's cash reserves were reported at $229 million as of Q2 2025, indicating strong liquidity.
The regional breakdown shows strong growth in all areas:
- U.S. and Canada: MAUs increased 21% YoY, with ARPMUA reaching $391, contributing significantly to the revenue growth.
- Latin America: MAUs grew 42% YoY amid challenges such as a 19% VAT on player deposits in Colombia, which temporarily affected profits. However, the company expects growth to rebound in 2026.
RSI's first-half 2025 revenue reached $531.6 million, projecting to surpass $1 billion for the full year. Despite regulatory headwinds like the Colombian VAT, the company's strategic focus on regulated markets and AI-driven platform enhancements have driven strong operational and financial performance in Q2 2025.
