This contract finalizes the second phase of Poland’s Wilk modernization program, following the initial 2022 agreement where South Korea delivered 180 tanks and Poland planned licensed production of 820 K2PL units domestically.
The localization of production to Poland marks the restart of tank manufacturing in the country. This move supports Poland’s military expansion and the revitalization of its defense industry.
