Space company Nothing's Essential has upgraded its features, incorporating Google Calendar sync and additional functionalities.

It also includes a "Flip-to-Record" functionality, where placing the phone face down on a surface automatically starts recording. On the Phone 3, pressing the Essential Key instantly starts voice recording, with transcripts and summaries saved in Essential Space.
The update also introduces Essential Search, a universal search bar accessible with a swipe up on the home screen. This feature finds apps, contacts, and answers to less concrete queries, and it will receive personalized suggestions over time.
To enable Google Calendar integration in Essential Space, users need to update to the latest version of Nothing OS supporting this feature. After updating, they can open Essential Space, go to the settings or integration section, connect their Google account(s), select which Google Calendar accounts they want to sync with Essential Space, and allow the AI-generated events or to-dos to automatically sync to their linked Google Calendar(s).
These new features and integrations are currently available for the Nothing Phone 3, with a rollout to the Phone 3a and 3a Pro models soon to follow. The Phone 3 is available for purchase at various retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart, Samsung, Amazon, Verizon, and AT&T.
