Successful Educational Institution's Pupils Triumph at Robotacon, Bound for Singapore
Robotacon WRO 2025 National Finals Celebrate Vietnam's Young Innovators
Ho Chi Minh City played host to the Robotacon World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2025 national finals on August 6, where a total of 68 prizes were awarded to 411 teams and 1,235 students from 278 schools across the country [1].
The competition, organized by Việt Tinh Anh JSC – LEGO Education in partnership with the Embassy of Denmark, featured four main categories: Global Robotics Games, RoboMission, Future Innovators, and Robot Tennis. After two regional rounds in the North and Central–Southern regions, the top 30% of teams advanced to the national finals at the Maple Leaf Sport Arena.
From the national finals, 34 teams comprising 68 students earned the right to represent Vietnam at the global finals in Singapore scheduled for November 2025 [1].
Among the winners, Team Hòng Bàng 4 from HCM City triumphed in the B2 category aged 11-15, while Team REX - T and EUREKA-LEGO won the B0 category aged six to 10. Team Bread Squad from the Australian International School took the top spot in the B3 category aged 14-19, and Team WSHN.MT2.HSRL 01 from Hà Nội's Wellspring School won the B1 category aged eight to 12.
In addition to trophies, medals, and certificates, winning teams received LEGO Education STEM kits worth up to VNĐ30 million (US$1,310), along with gifts from sponsors. Lasse Pedersen Hjortshøj, Chargé d'affaires at the Danish Embassy in Việt Nam, spoke at the awards ceremony and emphasized the importance of investing in education. Nguyễn Quang Trí, Chief Marketing Officer of Vinamilk, expressed support for young talents and sustainable development.
Beyond programming and engineering skills, the competition encouraged students to develop innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions for real-world problems. The 2025 edition of the competition adopted the theme "The Future of Robots".
Robotacon WRO 2025 continues to empower a generation ready to shape the future by sending Việt Nam's young innovators to the international stage.
