Suzuki Vitara Cabriolet Value Soars 41.5% in a Decade
The Suzuki Vitara Cabriolet has seen a significant increase in value over the past decade, rising by 41.5% from 6,500 euros in 2015 to 8,200 euros in 2025. This trend is not isolated, as several classic Suzuki models have appreciated in value.
The Vitara Cabriolet's predecessor, the Suzuki Vitara (1988-1998), was a compact SUV with off-road capabilities. Initially priced at 12,500 marks in 1981, the Suzuki LJ 80, its forerunner, offered a 0.8-liter engine and a top speed of 107 km/h. Both vehicles laid the foundation for Suzuki's off-road legacy.
The Suzuki Jimny, introduced in 2018, gained popularity due to its unique design and urban-friendly size. Its demand exceeded supply, leading to used cars being more expensive than new ones. The Jimny's discontinuation in Europe in late 2024, replaced by the Horizon special edition, has not dampened its appeal. The Suzuki SJ 410, a larger successor to the LJ, has also seen its value increase by 36% from 5,500 to 7,500 euros between 2015 and 2025.
The Suzuki Vitara Cabriolet's value increase mirrors the appreciation of other classic Suzuki models. The LJ 80, once priced at 12,500 marks, is now worth around 10,500 euros in good condition, a 40% increase from 2015. These trends suggest a growing interest and appreciation for vintage Suzuki vehicles.
