Tata Motors Unveils Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45: India's First Subcompact EV with Level-2 ADAS
Tata Motors has introduced the Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45, a new subcompact electric vehicle (EV) packed with advanced features. Launched on September 19, 2025, it comes with a lifetime HV battery warranty for the first owner and a competitive price tag.
The Empowered +A 45 is based on the top-spec 45 kWh model, retaining its 143 bhp, 215 Nm electric motor and real-world range of 350-370 km. It offers comfort and convenience features such as a panoramic sunroof, rear window sunshade, ambient lighting, and a full suite of connected car features.
The new variant is priced at ₹17.29 lakh (ex-showroom), with a ₹30,000 premium over the previous Empowered + 45 model. Two exclusive Dark editions are also available, priced at ₹17.49 lakh, featuring an all-black exterior and bolstered leatherette seats.
A standout feature is the introduction of a Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a first for subcompact EVs in India. This includes features like traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking. The car also boasts rapid charging capabilities, allowing for a 20-80 percent charge in 40 minutes, adding 150 km of range in just 15 minutes.
The Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45 is a significant addition to the Indian EV market, offering a compelling blend of performance, features, and safety. With its attractive price point and innovative features, it is poised to make a mark in the subcompact EV segment.
