The company opened its first regional office there last year and has now launched a specialized AI lab in the Alem.ai building. This move comes as part of a joint project with Kazakhstan's supercomputer cluster, initiated by the ministry of AI.

The new AI lab, opened in 2023, is a testament to Telegram's commitment to advancing AI technology. Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of Telegram, discussed this development at the Digital Bridge 2025 forum.
