Tesla Adds Seven-Seat Model Y for European, Middle Eastern Families
Tesla has expanded its Model Y lineup in Europe and the Middle East, introducing a seven-seat version. This new configuration offers greater versatility for families and individuals needing to carry both passengers and cargo efficiently.
The seven-seat Model Y features a third row with seating for two, designed for easy access and equipped with USB-C charging ports. The second row offers sliding seats with adjustable backrests, enhancing passenger comfort and third-row access. Both the second and third rows fold flat, maximizing cargo space for items such as luggage, furniture, or skis. The vehicle's liftgate opens to a low trunk floor, simplifying loading and unloading. Tesla's electronic fold-flat seat releases in the trunk allow for quick transitions between passenger and cargo configurations.
The introduction timeframe for the seven-seat Model Y in Europe and the Middle East is not specified. However, Tesla has already launched it in China, and there are doubts about its U.S. release, with Elon Musk suggesting it might not happen until late 2026, if at all.
