Unveiled during a spectacular worldwide showcase, the key features of Battlefield 6's multiplayer mode along with additional details have been disclosed.

Get ready for an immersive and action-packed experience with the upcoming release of Battlefield 6 on October 10, 2021. This highly anticipated game is set to launch on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and promises a robust multiplayer experience like never before.

Key Features

Battlefield 6 takes combat gameplay to the next level with a host of innovative features. The game introduces the Kinesthetic Combat System, which enhances movement and gunplay for a more fluid and dynamic gaming experience. The Tactical Destruction system allows players to alter the environment dynamically, opening new paths and strategic options. A new Drag and Revive mechanic also enhances team survivability, making cooperative play even more crucial.

The classic class system returns in Battlefield 6, with four roles: Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer, each with unique gadgets, signature weapons, and dedicated training. This system provides a depth of customization and strategy that is synonymous with the Battlefield franchise.

Game Modes

Battlefield 6 offers eight multiplayer game modes at launch, catering to a variety of playstyles. These include:

  • Conquest: Large-scale warfare mode where teams capture and hold control points to score progressively.
  • Breakthrough: Assault-defense mode with attackers pushing forward and defenders holding sectors.
  • Rush: Attack & Defend mode targeting critical objectives, returning fan-favourite gameplay.
  • Escalation: New mode where two teams fight over strategic control points in intense staged combat.
  • Battle Royale: Large-scale last-player/team-standing mode, combining survival and tactical gameplay.
  • Gauntlet: Another new mode associated with fast-paced challenges (details less confirmed).
  • Team Deathmatch: Classic, fast-paced all-out combat where teams compete for kills.
  • Squad Deathmatch: Smaller-scale tactical combat emphasizing team coordination.
  • Domination: Objective-based mode where teams capture and hold points to rack up score.
  • King of the Hill: Intense conflict over a designated zone, with teams fighting for control to earn points.

Variants like "101" modes act as training versions for some of these, and weapon restrictions applied in "closed" or "open" weapon variants change loadouts. The beta currently offers a subset of these modes, with additional ones arriving by launch.
