Upcoming Audi A4 e-tron (2026): New Details and Estimated Cost Revealed

Audi is set to introduce a new electric midsize car to its lineup with the Audi A4 e-tron, scheduled for launch in 2026. The A4 e-tron will initially debut as a hatchback with a Sportback-style tailgate, with an Avant version also planned for release.

The electric A4 is expected to share dimensions with its combustion engine brother, the A5. In the Avant version, the A5 measures 4.83 meters in length, 1.86 meters in width (without mirrors), and 1.46 meters in height.

While the exact price range for the high-performance Audi RS 4 e-tron has not been officially announced, its placement in the premium market can be inferred. Models like the Audi RS e-tron GT are priced around €150,000, suggesting the RS 4 e-tron could fall within a similar price bracket, potentially even surpassing this level.

Automotive expert Alexander Koch predicts that the Audi A4 e-tron will appeal to a broad audience in terms of electric mobility. The overall design of the A4 e-tron is likely to be inspired by its larger luxury-class sibling.

In terms of features, the Audi A4 e-tron is expected to offer fast charging speeds and a range suitable for daily and long-distance use. It will also feature innovative, freely projecting adaptive LED light sources, similar to those found in the A6.

The interior of the Audi A4 e-tron (2026) is still under wraps, but it is expected to come equipped with digital instruments, a head-up display, a centrally placed touchscreen, intelligent voice control, and artificial intelligence integration.

In comparison, the estimated price of the Audi A5 sibling is €52,000, making it significantly more expensive than the Tesla Model 3, which starts at €40,000.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Audi A4 e-tron as more details become available.
