Li Auto Launches New Electric SUV, Aims for Stable Sales
Li Auto, a NASDAQ-listed company (ticker symbol LI), has announced the launch of its latest battery electric vehicle (BEV), the Li i6. This new pure-electric SUV is set to hit the market on September 26.
The Li i6, measuring 4,950 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, offers a distinct design that breaks away from mainstream SUVs. This new form of five-seat SUV comes with an electric queen seat, a dual-temperature refrigerator, a 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen, and privacy shades for side windows. The cabin design features dual connected screens up front, an entertainment display for second-row passengers, and a large cabin with a panoramic glass roof.
The Li i6 offers both single-motor and dual-motor options. According to its regulatory filings, the SUV boasts a CLTC range of up to 720 kilometers. The expected price range for the Li i6 is between RMB 250,000 ($35,150) and RMB 300,000.
Li Auto aims for stable monthly sales of 9,000 to 10,000 units for the Li i6 by year-end. This goal follows the company's aim to achieve stable monthly deliveries of 6,000 units for the Li i8. From January to August, Li Auto delivered 263,198 vehicles, marking a 8.64 percent year-on-year decrease. In August alone, the company delivered 28,529 vehicles, a 40.72 percent year-on-year decrease.
Li Auto's overall BEV models are expected to stabilize at 18,000-20,000 units monthly. The Li i6 is Li Auto's third BEV and its second pure-electric SUV following the Li i8.
The company is led by Xiang Li, who serves as the founder, chairman, and CEO. The Li i6 electric SUV is another step forward in Li Auto's mission to provide high-quality, affordable electric vehicles to the market.
