Upcoming Models in 2025: Ford F-Max GEN 2.0 Ready to Unite Smooth Rides and Optimal Energy Utilization
The auto industry is abuzz with excitement as Ford Trucks prepares to showcase its latest offering, the F-Max Gen 2.0, at the NUFAM in Karlsruhe from September 25 to 28, 2025.
This new model boasts a host of improvements and innovative features across fuel consumption, powertrain, cabin design, safety systems, and driver assistance.
In terms of fuel consumption, the updated powertrain is designed to improve economy, with Ford's new engines, such as the EcoBoost line, balancing power and fuel efficiency well. The Gen 2.0 likely features an upgraded engine or variant with better performance and torque for heavy-duty tasks.
The powertrain has been further developed, with the Gen 2.0 integrating advanced versions of Ford's powerful engines. This results in improved power delivery and drivability, evident in smoother acceleration and better throttle mapping.
The cabin design focuses on driver comfort and productivity. Features include interior work surfaces for on-site tasks, leather-trimmed seats with multi-contour and lumbar support, and available heated and cooled seats for climate comfort. The cabin is designed for longer hauls with storage solutions like folding lockable under-seat bins, washable floor mats for durability, and tech integration through systems like Ford Pro Vehicle Integration.
Safety is a top priority in the F-Max Gen 2.0. The truck is equipped with advanced safety aids such as Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), which detects potential collisions and automatically applies brakes if the driver does not react.
The new model also comes with a modernized driver assistance package. Features include integrated digital on-board scales, smart hitch systems, and a sophisticated vehicle integration system that digitally connects various vehicle and upfit components to the central SYNC screen inside the cab. This provides better control over auxiliary equipment and supports safer, more efficient operation.
Holger Hahn, General Manager of Ford Trucks Germany, stated that the new F-Max Gen 2.0 is a true efficiency package. Aerodynamic improvements have been made through an active grill closure, A-pillar deflectors, and other adjustments to the vehicle front.
Moreover, the Ecotorq engine of the F-Max Gen 2.0 now delivers 510 PS. The vehicle's safety has also been further developed, with the introduction of a wear-free brake performance of up to 1,000 kilowatts, a significant safety feature.
Visitors to the NUFAM can catch a glimpse of this efficiency powerhouse at Ford's community stand in Hall 1, Stand D103. Ford Pro will also be driving e-mobility and productivity at the IAA Transportation 2024.
