In a brief statement posted on its main website, the company disclosed that it had identified a "security incident" and, as a precaution, had taken its website and certain in-store services offline. The statement further assured customers that Victoria's Secret and PINK stores remained open for business.
As of now, the company has not provided specific details regarding the nature of the attack, the identity of the attackers, or the methods used to compromise the systems. A spokesperson for the company told FOX Business that incident response protocols had been triggered following the incident, and third-party cybersecurity experts had been engaged to help restore operations.
