Wiesbaden Takes the Lead in Federal and State's New Digital Aggressive Strategy
In a significant move towards digital transformation, the city of Wiesbaden has announced a new initiative aimed at streamlining administrative services and improving the delivery of citizen-oriented services.
Maral Koohestanian, the responsible department head for Smart City, Europe, and Order in Wiesbaden, expressed her enthusiasm for this opportunity, stating that it is a great chance for active participation in the digital administration transformation.
This digital offensive, as it is called, is not just limited to Wiesbaden. The blueprint is intended to be implemented throughout the state of Hesse and nationwide, with the goal of relieving municipalities and benefiting citizens with quick, digital solutions.
The guiding principle for Wiesbaden in this transformation is "life time instead of waiting time," meaning they aim to make services easily accessible. Central basic services such as ePayment, administrative cloud, and collaboration platforms will be made usable throughout the state.
Wiesbaden, along with Kassel, Hattersheim, the Rheingau-Taunus district, the Wetterau district, and the municipality of Heuchelheim, have been selected as pilot communities for this digital transformation program.
The overarching program aims to facilitate a faster roll-out of digital services for citizen-oriented services, innovative internal processes, and attractive future-proof workplaces. Administrative processes are to be digitalized end-to-end.
Mayor Christiane Hinninger of Wiesbaden stated that this program represents a boost for the digital transformation of the state capital. She thanked the employees who work together across the entire administration towards these goals.
The digital offensive focuses on centralizing and streamlining digital services for better accessibility and efficiency. It aims for national standards and uniformity in digitalization, with the ultimate goal of creating a proactive, service-oriented, and future-proof administration in Wiesbaden.
Maral Koohestanian also stated that Wiesbaden aims to contribute its municipal perspective and consistently put the needs of citizens at the center of this transformation.
For more information, citizens can contact the responsible department or office, or visit the Press Office of the state capital Wiesbaden's website at www.wiesbaden.de/pressereferat. The Press Office can also be contacted at Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden.
This transformation is part of a larger plan to create a proactive, service-oriented, and future-proof administration in Wiesbaden, and it is an exciting step towards a more digital and efficient future for the city and its citizens.
